Personality Speakers

Racing Events -- in association with Sporting Horse Promotions -- can arrange for a personality from the racing world to come and meet your guests, mark the card for tips and provide an insider’s view of the day. As a guideline, speakers will usually talk for about 20 minutes and, in some cases, may be available to join your guests at the meal. Personality fees vary from £250 to £1,000+.

Examples of some personalities that can be booked through us are:

John McCririck -- Channel 4 Racings betting ring commentator, noted for his eccentricity, not least in his dress!

Ray Cochrane -- Recently retired top flat jockey. Now a jockeys agent and new member of BBC Television’s racing team.

Alex Hammond -- Bright, effervescent young presenter from the Racing Channel.

Clare Balding -- BBC TV sports presenter.

Willie Carson -- Needs no introduction. One of the top flat jockeys of the last twenty years. Won three Derbies. Now a member of the BBC flat racing commentating team.

Richard Pitman -- ex-jump jockey and well-spoken BBC commentator. Entertaining and unassuming.

Celebrity or expert hosting

Personalities and experts may be booked to help host your race-day or event, throughout most of the afternoon or evening. They can provide your guests with a unique insight into what goes on behind the scenes at the races.

Not only will they mark the card but they can provide advice on how to bet, give an explanation of the racing terms and jargon, and offer to take guests down to the paddock to explain what is going on. Depending on your budgets, you could choose:
